William Simons

William Allen Simons, 66, went to be with his lord and savior, and friends and family that passed before him. William was called home on Thursday, July 10, 2024.

Born on August 21, 1957 to the late Jean Isabel (Morgan) and Ward Warren Simons. In addition to his parents he is proceeded in death by two daughters, Rachel Jean Simons and Morgan Rae Simons; grandparents, Mabel Morgan, Irvin Morgan Sr. and Pearl Neilson.

William was a graduate of Beall Jr and Senior High School, Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute and went on to spend a short time in the military. He worked at Prichard's in sales and delivery, Sears as a delivery specialist, correctional officer at the Department of Corrections and as an EMT and driver for the Frostburg Area Ambulance service. William was a life time member of the Shaft Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Thomas "Tommie" Marie (Neilson) Simons; son, Michael Neilson and wife Krista of Frostburg, MD; two grandsons at home, Timothy Neilson and Keith Neilson, Frostburg, MD; two granddaughters, Kylee Barnes and Terilyn Noel Barnes, Frostburg, MD; great grandson, Kenneth Hall, Frostburg, MD; sister, sue Shelton and husband Blain of Painesville, OH, Cindy Simons and boyfriend Dave of Painesville, OH; step-mothers, Lydia Lewis and Virginia Simons both of Painesville, OH; nieces and nephews, Jill, Nathan, Jeremy, Becky, and Zack, all of Painesville, OH. He also leaves behind his fur babies, Button, Cookie and Sadie.

William was cremated in accordance with his wishes.

A memorial service will be held at Shaft Volunteer Fire Department on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 12:00.

Speakers will be Harry Foor and Chris Skidmore.
