William Mears

William “Glenn” Mears, 88, of Frostburg, passed away on December 20, 2021, at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.

Born on July 28, 1933, to the late Emily (Campbell) and William Mears. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anna “Juanita” Mears and sisters, June Trageser and Nancy Dugan.

Glenn was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of Farrady post #24 American Legion and Piney Mountain Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tying flies, woodworking, word puzzles and watching old westerns in his spare time.

Surviving are daughter, Lori Mears; son, William Glenn Mears Jr. and wife Marlene; grandchildren, Zachary and Devin Mears.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 11 am to 12 pm. A service will follow at 12 pm with Rev. George Harpold officiating.

Internment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park.
