William Lancaster

William Martin Lancaster, 93, of Shaft, passed away Saturday, November 08, 2014 at Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born April 12, 1921, in Gilmore, he was the son of the late Thomas Lancaster and Margaret (McFarland) Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Alberta Lancaster, sister’s Wilma Tharp, Martha Smith and Isabell Wadell; brothers, Jack and Danny Lancaster and granddaughter Shelly Bieligk.
William was retired from P.P.G. Industries and the Celanese. He was a member of the Shaft Volunteer Fire Company and Shaft Methodist Church.
Mr. Lancaster is survived by his son, John Lancaster and wife Sharon, Shaft; daughter Sandra Rapp and husband Ron, Laurel, MD; sister Jenny Scott, Frostburg and special sister-in-law, Jean Lancaster, Midland; grandson, Christopher Lancaster and wife Jennifer; granddaughters, Nancy Beebe and husband Craig, Connie Stern and husband Darren; great grandchildren, Kayla Krouse and husband James, Rachel Bieligk, Allie and Mallorie Stern, Logan and Garrett Beebe and Kylie Lancaster and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to the whole staff at The Frostburg Village Nursing Home for all the care, comfort, kindness and thoughtfulness they have given to William and all of us. Again we cannot thank you enough.
