Wilda Plummer

Wilda Margaret Plummer, 89, of Frostburg, passed away peacefully at Mountain City Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

She was born May 14, 1933, in Frostburg, to the late Francis "Red" and Alma M. (Deibler) Cunningham. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband of 66 years, Allen Berl Plummer; and her sister, Rita Ann Cunningham.

Wilda graduated from Catholic Girls School and went on to become a Registered Nurse. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital for a number of years before quitting to raise her children. Wilda was an active member of Divine Mercy St. Michael's Catholic Church in Frostburg. She served on various committees for both the Church and St. Michael's School.

Wilda enjoyed dining out with her family and talking to her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Paula Rita Morgan and husband, Gene, of Frostburg; Marty Plummer and wife, Mary Jane, of Frostburg; grandsons, Matthew Morgan and wife, Kristen Halpern Morgan, of Aurora, CO; Christopher Morgan of Frostburg; Joshua Plummer and wife, Natalie, of Elkridge, MD; and granddaughter, Lindsey Plummer of Alexandria, VA; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Brooks Plummer of Elkridge. She is also survived by her sister, Elaine M. Diamond and husband Bill Sr. of Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Brenda, Phai, Carol, Rachel, Debbie, and Patty for their kindness and compassion.

In accordance with Wilda's wishes, there is to be a Mass at Divine Mercy, St. Michaels Parish, Frostburg, on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 11 am. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the Mass from 10 to 11 am at the church.

We kindly ask that you wear a mask while attending the services.

Interment will follow in Frostburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Michael's Church, 44 E. Main Street, Frostburg, MD 21532, in memory of Wilda.
