Wanda Lee “Poosie” Richardson
84, of Frostburg, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013, at her home with her brother Buddy by her side.
Born March 29, 1929 in Frostburg to the late Harry E. Wolford and Alice M. (Skidmore) Wolford. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jackson T. Richardson; three sisters, Pauline Telford Michaels, Florence Miller and Nellie Chaney; two brothers, Donald and Irvin Wolford; four brothers-in-law, David Telford, Clarence Michaels, Lawrence Chaney and Donald Michael Miller; two sisters-in-law, Mary Wolford and Adeline Wolford; and nephews, David Hawkins and Gary Telford, niece, Carol Telford Morris; great nephew, David Morris and her special canine friend “Junior Bug”.
Wanda was a graduate of 1948 Class of Beall High School. She was employed at the ACME store in Cumberland and the Celanese Fiber Corporation.
Wanda had a special place in her heart for dogs. She was truly devoted to her family members, caring for them in their times of need. She loved to shop and browse the yard sales, often coming home with treasurers.
Surviving are her beloved brother; Harry “Buddy” Wolford and wife Faye, Frostburg; sister-in-law, Ruby Wolford, Frostburg; two nieces, Bonnie Bowser and Alice Wolford Zapp; two nephews, William “Chick” Hawkins and Harry “Wink” Wolford; several great and great-great nieces and nephews, and her special caring friend, Marci Fidler.
