Wanda Robison, 76, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and special friends.
Born on May 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Clement Victor and Margaret (McKenzie) Jeffries. She is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Nathaniel Wright; and her 2nd husband of 34 years, Allan Robison.
Surviving are husband, James Lee Rees; son, Keith Wright and wife Vicki; daughters, Kathy Wright-Weber; Kim (Wright) Whittaker and husband Jeff; step-sons, James Rees, Todd Rees, Bryan Rees; grandsons, Brian Ritchey and wife Tanya; the late Francis Scott “Scotty” Giles; granddaughter, Nikki Wigger and husband Travis; step-grandchildren, Joel, Alec, Julia, Nathan, Lauren, Cory and Jakob Rees; great grandchildren, Cross, Chance and Rain Ritchey; Madison and Brynnan Wigger.
Also are sisters, Joan Westfall and late husband Don, Jenny Weimer and husband Jim, Doris Weimer and husband Francis, Judy Stone and partner Matt Silvers, Linda Garlitz and late husband Paul, Susan Marcellis and husband Wesley; brothers, Russell Jeffries, the late Eugene Jeffries and the late Rick Jeffries, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Wanda worked at the Schwab Company for 28 years. She went on to work at Hunter Douglas, and later in Arizona, part time, at Dear Valley School District as a school bus technician with special needs children. She spent many winters in Arizona with family and friends and traveled throughout the United States in her retirement years. She loved spending time with her sisters having “sister days” where they shopped, had luncheons, and made crafts. She loved feeding and watching her hummingbirds and cardinals, enjoyed cooking, all the while living life to the fullest. Wanda touched everyone she met.
Per Wanda’s wishes she was cremated. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday March 6th from 9:00am – 10:30am in the Fellowship Hall at First English Baptist Church. Due to Covid restrictions, a private service by invitation only, will be held on March 6th from 10:30am – 11:30am.
Donations can be made in Wanda’s name to the First English Baptist Church, 136 E. Main St., Frostburg, MD; or Hospice Care of Western Maryland, 12500 Willow Brook Rd, Cumberland, MD who took extraordinary care of her during her final hours.
