Thomas Lillard, Jr.

Thomas K. “Snag” Lillard, Jr., 83, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Golden Living Center, Cumberland, MD.

Born in Cumberland, MD, on June 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Thomas K. Lillard, Sr. and Ethel Manuel Beeman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris L. Bollinger Lillard on May 28, 2012.  Mr. Lillard was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Snag was a retired self-employed bricklayer and was a U.S. Marine veteran.  He was a member of Farraday Post 24, Frostburg Moose Lodge, Old Rail Post V.F.W., 54 year member of the Frostburg Fire Department and was a Gold Card member of the Frostburg Eagles.

He is survived by son: Gary “Snag” Lillard and wife Linda, Cumberland; grandsons: Sean Lillard and fiancé Sabrina Andrews, Cumberland, Matthew Lillard and wife Melissa, Cresaptown; great-grandchildren: Logan, Skyler, and Hanna Lillard

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Lillard was cremated.
