Thomas Edward Kilduff, 75, passed away on Sunday October 27, 2024, at his home in Mt. Savage, MD.
Born on June 10, 1949, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Thomas G. Kilduff and Rose Marie (Fannon) Kilduff.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia (Kilduff) Morse.
Mr. Kilduff was a member of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church and attended Divine Mercy Parish, Saint Michaels Catholic Church.
Surviving are his spouse Mary Sue (Apple) Kilduff and son, Thomas Edward Kilduff Jr, of Corriganville, MD, two daughters, Susan Marie Kilduff, of Cumberland, MD, and Michelle Diane Kilduff, Germany, a brother, Michael Kilduff (Barbara) of Eldersburg, MD, and sisters Cathy (Kilduff) Bird of Frederick, MD, and Peggy (Kilduff) Menefee (Dean) of Harpers Ferry, WV, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas served in the military with the United States Army completing assignments in Germany and South Korea. He served as an army recruiter before retiring with twenty years of service achieving the rank of Sargeant.
Thomas was a member of the American Legion, the Vietnam Veterans of America #172, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Barrelville Outdoor Club and the Kennels Mill Sportsman Club.
Thomas devoted his later life to his children. He was proud of Michelle who became a physical therapist in Germany. He cared for his handicapped daughter, Susan, and thereafter supported her in the wonderful Friends Aware Program. His best “bud” was Thomas Jr. who also has special needs and shared many good times together.
Friends and family will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, Mt. Savage, at 10 am on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
A military honors will be presented by VVA #172 and Old Rail VFW Post 6025.
Pallbearers will be his nephews and close friends. Thomas Kilduff Jr. will serve as an honorary pallbearer and carry his father’s flag.
Interment will follow at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas’ name to Friends Aware Inc. (Finance Dept.), 1601 Holland Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
