Thomas Hanna Jr.

Thomas James Hanna Jr, 94, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Franklin Square Hospital.

Thomas was born in Frostburg on July 16, 1930 to the late Mary (Whitfield) and Thomas Hanna Sr. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister Margaret Kennell (Hanna) and grandson John Jr.

Later in life, Thomas moved to Dundalk to raise his family. He was a family man who enjoyed playing golf, fishing, family camping trips, was a member of the Patapsco Methodist Church, The Masons for 62 years and was an Air Force Reserve veteran in the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Doris (Wright); sons: John and Robert; grandchildren: Tommy, Timmy, Krystle and their spouses Jason and Lori; great grand children: John Ray, Karlee, Blake, and Lily.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11 A.M with Rev. George Harpold officiating.

Interment will be in Eckhart Methodist Cemetery.
