Tamara "Tammy" Jane Kinney, 58, of Frostburg passed away living her best life on December 24,2023.
Born on June 18, 1965, to the late Margaret Ethel and Roy Allen Kinney. Tamara was born in Arlington, Va and lived in District Heights, MD. She graduated from Suitland High School and had some college experience at Prince George Community College. She later moved to Frostburg where she raised her 5 children. Tamara went blind after her last child, but despite being disabled she never let that stop her. Tammy later bought a house, fixed it up and called it home. Aside from being an avid coffee drinker, she loved her flowers and the smells they brought in the spring after having bloomed. Tammy had many friends and people she was close to, but recently has been in contact with a close childhood friend, Terry Riddle. Being in touch with this woman brought Tammy a joy and happiness for life that she needed in the form of a friend, she was excited and happy, and we all knew how much this person meant to her. She was an amazing mother, teaching her children so many things but she was made for the job of Nanny. Her grandkids loved her very much, from helping her around the house to playing games and crafts and bringing her wildflowers and there's nothing like a big hug from nanny. Tragically, Tamara died in a house fire on Christmas Eve. She was a wonderful, kindhearted, caring, loving and beautiful woman who will never be forgotten.
Tamara is preceded in death by her parents, her eldest daughter, Anna Marie and a great granddaughter, Sophia Elizabeth.
Surviving are her 4 children; Jessica Scarlett (Nash), Brandy Twigg (Brandon), Travis Tippett (Shalona) and Cheyenn Tippett (Dajaun). 12 Grandchildren; Shawn Kinney (Sammi), Ceira Kinney, Damion and Hailey Bonnell, Airiana S. Harding, Colton, Gabriell and Addelyn Scarlett, Talayla Sey and Tahleah Tippett, Bentley and Bennet Twigg. 2 Great grandchildren; Athena Grace and Jaxxon Thomas. 3 siblings; Dwayne Kinney (Brenda), LeeAnn Bonnell (Tony), Cassandra Smith. There are also many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and family that she will be very missed by.
