Susan Marie Booth, 42, formerly of Frostburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 18, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer.
Born May 25, 1981, to Jane “Janie” Eileen (Baer) and the late George William Patterson.
Susan was a 1999 graduate of Beall High School, where she met her husband, Dirk. They enjoyed spending time on outdoor trails, whether biking, walking or taking pictures of birds or rainbows and shamrocks, always taking the time to embrace God’s creation. She also was a collector of 80’s toys, avid board and video game player, attending comic cons and spending time at the beach in Ocean City. Most of all it’s her unwavering faith and love for our Lord and Savior. She was a champion for the underdog and did not like to see anyone mistreated. Susan attended Apostolic Lighthouse church and loved going there to that little church filled with love
Mrs. Booth had a BA degree from FSU and held prior employment at Gabe’s for years and managed “Little Dog social media” out of Cumberland, MD, more recently. She also was able to work her dream job as a tech for the Western Maryland Animal Hospital.
Susan loved all animals great or small, but she especially loved cats.
In addition to her mother, Janie Patterson, she is survived by her high school sweetheart and her soulmate husband of 13 years, Dirk Booth; her brother, Eric Patterson and wife Selena; aunts, Kathy Forman and husband Dave, Lavonne Clise and husband Jim; niece & nephew Aaron Patterson, Abbey Patterson and fiancé Ryan Finzel, Patrick Forman, Joseph Forman and wife Jessica were her cousins who were like brothers to her. She is also survived by her father/in-law Dusty Booth and wife Karen, mother-in-law Alana and Jim Miller; brother in laws, DJ Booth and wife Kat, Devin Booth; sister in laws, Alicia Booth and Amber Athey. Her best friend Racheal Myers and husband Alex also survive her. Racheal was there for her until the end and we thank her for that. She is also survived by her cats Chloe, Moses, Zuzu, and Sarabeth.
In accordance with Susan’s wishes she is to be cremated.
The family would like to thank Pastor Jim & Doris Glass and Apostolic Lighthouse for their love, prayers, and support; Dr. Bhatia & Dr. Aulakh from WVU; and hospice nurse, Sharon from UPMC.
