Summer Myers

My sweet angel, Summer Isabella Elizabeth Myers of Frostburg, Maryland passed away on April 18, 2025 at WVU Morgantown, WV.

Born June 1, 2011. Summer was seriously hurt as a baby and she overcame all those obstacles, it was her strong will that pulled her through.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Deborah Banner; great grandmother Wanda Binnix; great grandfather, Irvin Morgan Jr.; aunt, Krista Mckenzie; uncle, Matthew Kirkpatrick whom she idolized.

She leaves behind her grandmother, whom she called mom, Brenda Crites for the last 13 years; her biological mother, Samantha Femi (Michael); her biological father, Nicholas Myers (Sami); parental grandfather, George (Bill) Myers III and grandmother, Tonia Myers; paternal great grandfather, George Myers Jr and her great grandmother Patricia Powell and Thelma Foutz; grandfather, David Binnix; aunt, Jordan Grabenstein; Zac Grabenstein; aunt, Taylor Kirkpatrick whom she called her sister;uncle, Tom Spiker; brothers, Decklin Weasenforth, Xander Myers; sisters, Gracelen Myers, Janoviah Femi; cousins whom she was very close to, Madison Kirkpatrick, Anais Mckenzie, Octavian Casey, Elliott Grabenstein, Anna Leigh Grabenstein and Arabella Grabenstein, and very special friend Connor Sorrells.

We want to thank her nurse Ashley at WVU for taking special care of Summer at the end. Everyone that knew summer loved her, she was a very loving girl, and would do anything to make people happy

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 2 to 6PM. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 with Kevin Lamp Speaking.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Durst Funeral Home to help offset the funeral cost.
