Stanley J. Raley, 78, of Frostburg, went to be with his Lord & Savior on March 14, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital with his wife by his side.
Born on February 9, 1944, he is the son of the late Thelma E. and Raymond A. Raley.
Stanley was a member of Frostburg Covenant Brethren Church. He was very involved in the church and loved greeting the congregation every Sunday morning. He was the church usher and represented the church through the Frostburg Food Pantry. Stanley was a retired lineman from Potomac Edison. He also enjoyed spending his mornings at McDonalds with friends, hunting at his cabin in Finzel and playing golf in his spare time.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Linda Chaney Raley; children, Stanley Michael Raley and fiancé Tina, Joseph Scott Raley and wife Laurie, Jeffrey Todd Raley and wife Kim; grandchildren, Brandi Raley, Eric Raley, Nathaniel Raley and Kali Raley; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond E. Raley and wife Sue; sister-in-law, JoAnn Harman and husband Keith; special nephews, Eric and Blair Harman; numerous relatives and friends, as well as his church family with whom he was very close.
Family and friends will be received at Frostburg Covenant Brethren Church, 1 Beall St., Frostburg, MD on Friday, March 18, 2022, with visitation from 11 AM to 12 PM. A memorial service will follow at 12 PM with Pastor Mark Durst officiating.
