Shirley Helen Eunice (Porter) Whiteman, 84, formerly of Cresaptown, and residing at the Lion’s Center for Rehabilitation and Extended Care, went to be with her Lord on September 2, 2014 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born April 5, 1930 in Frostburg, MD., Eunice was the daughter of the late John Phillip, and Verna Christine (Spiker) Porter. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Henry Whiteman, in September, 2006.
A homemaker, Eunice was a devoted wife and mother. In addition to her family, Eunice enjoyed caring for her home and flower garden on Lone Oak Street, Cresaptown. In days of better health, Eunice attended Central Assembly of God, and enjoyed trips to the PTL Club in Charlotte, NC.
Eunice is survived by two sons, John Mark Whiteman, and wife Stephanie, LaVale, and Douglas William Whiteman, Bunker Hill, WV; two granddaughters, Christa M Whiteman and husband Jason Hurwitz, Stone Ridge, NY, and Amy L. Boyce, and husband Harris R. Boyce III, Mechanicsburg, PA. Her great-granddaughters are Hannah R. Boyce, and Abigail L. Boyce, Mechanicsburg, PA. She is also survived by her wonderful sister, Doris R. (Porter) Price, LaVale, and a special niece, G. Lynne (Price) Richards, and husband Brent, Belair.
