Shaun Michael Evans passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at the age of 34. Born in Eckhart, Shaun graduated from Beall High School and received a bachelor’s degree in science at Frostburg State University. He moved to Charleston, WV for a job in his field. While working there fulltime, his passion for nature and the environment led him to seek further education and he obtained a master’s degree from Marshall University in Environmental Science. He treasured opportunities to share his desire of conserving and protecting the natural environment. He loved the outdoors and many sports. He found joy in the winter, becoming an avid snowboarder, challenging family and friends with his skill. The teams he followed closely were the Pittsburgh Penguins, Tennessee Volunteers and Miami Dolphins.Shaun’s quiet demeanor allowed him an entrance anywhere without notice. But his big smile and good humor quickly lit up the room. His laughter was contagious. He was an amazingly bright person, giving of himself, ever willing to lend a hand where needed. He truly had a beautiful soul and a loving heart dedicated to family, always making the trek for holidays and events with relatives. He was smitten with his niece and nephew, Landon and Lyla Fletcher who adored him.He never realized the real joy he brought to those who were lucky enough to know him. His family will deeply love him forever, foremost his parents, Gary and Debbie (Chabot) Evans and sister Stacey (Evans) Fletcher.
