Sarah “Sally” Elizabeth Burr

68, of Frostburg, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 5, 2017.

She was born December 22, 1948 in Indiana. She is the daughter of Elizabeth “Betsy” Lechner and Albert Malcom Buck.

Sally is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Burr who passed on June 2, 2013, and her father Albert Malcom Buck.

Sally was a graduate of Tudor Hall High School in Indianapolis and received a Bachelor and Master degree from Indiana University. She went on to become a teacher and worked for Sallie Mae and retiring there as a project manager. She was a Board Member of the Frostburg Museum as well as the co-founder of Jack’s Dogs in Indiana that provides therapy dogs to those in need.

Surviving are her son Robert M. Hein and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Cameron and Casandra; brother, James Buck; and mother Betsy Jones.

Funeral services will be held at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Michael Church, Frostburg; Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 am with Fr. Ed. Hendricks officiating.

Sally was cremated in accordance with her wishes.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Poplar Ridge Cemetery in Carmel, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation, in Sally’s name, to the Frostburg Museum, Connor Prairie Museum (Fishers, Indiana) or Jack’s Dogs.
