Samuel "Sam" Price McCulloh passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 in Morgantown, WV.
Born in Frostburg on September 7, 1935 to the late Gwladys (Price) and Samuel Clark McCulloh. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Samuel Lee McCulloh; sister, Gwladys Beale and Mary Ann Greig; nephew, Mark Beale.
Sam was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church of Frostburg, a member of the American Legion Farrady Post #24, Frostburg Moose Lodge and Cresaptown American Eagles. He was also a third generation member of the Frostburg Fire Department for over sixty years and was honored with Fireman of the year in 1976.
Sam loved going to Ocean City, MD for Sunfest and going to Tri-State Concerts where he enjoyed dancing. He had a green thumb and planted a beautiful garden every year.
Surviving are his long time companion of 26 years, Patricia Llewellyn; daughter, Cindy; sister, Helen McCulloh; niece, Karen Reidler and husband George; nephews, Keith Greig and wife Brenda, Kevin Greig and wife Eva, Steve Beale and wife Kristy, Matt Beale; grandchildren, Angela Walsh, Samantha Elashewich, Timothy McCulloh; great grandchildren, Noah and Sophie Walsh; numerous great nieces and nephews as well as very special friend Bill Price and wife Peggy.
Family and friends will be received at First Congregational Church, 103 Bowery St, Frostburg, MD on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M.
Funeral service will follow immediately at 3:00 with Rev. Ken Hamilton Officiating.
Private family internment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park the following day.
The Frostburg Fire Department will conduct a service and stand in as pall bearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sam's memory the First Congregational Church, 103 Bowery St, Frostburg or to the Frostburg Fire Department, 75 S. Water St, Frostburg.
