Roy Troutman Sr.

Roy E. Troutman Sr. , 80, of Frostburg, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at his residence.

Born on July 18, 1941 in Deal, PA to Evelyn Marie (Winebrenner) and John Troutman. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, John Troutman, Cecelia Troutman, and Charlene Knox.

Roy was a founding member of Frostburg Ambulance 1967, Captain; in 1982 Roy and Dottie started Allegany Ambulance, he was a Commercial Ambulance Rep Region 1 EMS Advisory Council, A Board of Directors Statewide Commercial Ambulance Association and Region 1EMS Hall of Fame. Roy loved his farm along with the horses and dogs. He enjoyed camping and fishing as well. He did enjoy gambling and  slot machines.

Surviving is his wife, Dottie Troutman; children, Roy E. Troutman Jr. and wife Denise, Rodney Troutman, and Rebecca Troutman; grandchildren, Zachary Frost and fiancé Hailey, and Roy E. Troutman III; great grandchildren, Hayden and Kane Frost; sister, Carol Tichnell; sister-in-law, Lois Troutman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral service will be held at Durst Funeral Home on Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 11:00 am with Rev. George Harpold officiating.

Interment will be private on their family farm.
