Rosemary Shockey

Rosemary Theresa Shockey, 90, formally of Mt. Savage, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Northampton Manor Health Care Center, in Frederick, MD.
Born November 23, 1924 in Mt. Savage, to the late Joseph and Sarah Carter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Tom & John Carter; sister, Ann Martirano.
Rosemary worked for the telephone company for over 38 years .She was noted for her wonderful loving personality, and her love of laughter. She attended St Michaels Catholic Church in Frostburg.
Surviving is her son, Thomas Shockey, Germantown, MD; grandchildren, Brian, Joanna and Maria Shockey; great grandchildren, Betsy, Ellie, Abbie and Maggie Shockey; brother, Joseph Carter; sisters, Mary Lou Dickel, Peggy Whitehead and Sally Tuscano; sister-in-laws, Edie Carter and Donna Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, Rosemary is to be cremated.
