Rosemary Colmer

Rosemary P. Colmer, 103, of Frostburg, passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Born April 18, 1918 in National, MD she was the daughter of the late Daniel E. Nolan and Mary (Trainor) Nolan

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John Colmer, daughter, Anita Morgan; brothers, George Nolan, Edward Nolan, and Daniel Nolan; sisters, Delores Niner and Regina Kight; her grandson, Brian Morgan.

Rose really enjoyed going to McDonalds and talking to her friends, spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, John Colmer, Deanna Barker and husband Steve, Theresa Hershberger and husband Frank, Gilbert (Ed) Colmer and wife Pam, and David Colmer; grandchildren, Valerie, Shane, Eliott, Erika, Gabriela, Johanna, Jason, Aaron, Troy, Justin, Alexa, Adam, Garrett, Sabrina, Jared, Ryan, and Lauryn; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Mary Margaret Nolan and her former daughter-in-law and friend Maria Colmer.

A special thank you to the caregivers who went above and beyond to help take care of Rose throughout the years and hospice nurses for their help and care.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Friday February 11, 2022 from 12 noon to 1 P.M.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00 with Deacon Harold Bradley Officiating. For those unable to attend, a live stream will be available on Durst Funeral Facebook starting at 12:45

Interment will be in St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.
