Ronald Edward Leaf

Ronald Edward Leaf, 85, passed away at this home on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Born on March 15, 1938 to the late Estella M. (Ross) and Edward C. Leaf.

Ron was a graduate of University of Pittsburg with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He was once the owner of LaVale Pharmacy and a +50-year Mason of Potomac Lodge No. 100 AF&AM.

He loved hunting but his true passion was music. He sang barbershop for the last 40 years and was a "professional" part of the Shanty Irish Band with the best bunch of guys around.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Karen Leaf; sons, Jeffrey R. Leaf and wife Sue, Brian R. Leaf and wife Meg; step-daughters, Jessica A. Skidmore, Tara L. Ritter and husband Aaron; grandchildren, Julia Elkins and husband Jesse, Alex Metts, Wyatt Leaf, Garrett Leaf; great grandchildren, Meadow Elkins, Mazie Elkins and one coming in June 2024; sister, Vivian Benshoff.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 1:00-4:00. 

Masonic service will be conducted at 3:30.

Memorial service will follow at 4:00 with Pastor David Sandvick officiating.

In lieu of the flowers donations can be made to Wounded Worriers Project or Shriners Hospital for Children.
