Richard P. “Dick” Stott, 85, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020, at Sterling Care at Frostburg Village.
Born on May 23, 1935, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Albert and Nellie (Porter) Stott.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Corrina Stott in 1996, four brothers and three sisters. He was the last remaining member of his immediate family.
In 1958, Dick started working at the Bowler, the very popular bowling alley in LaVale. In 1970 he began working for the city of Frostburg and later became an assistant plumber with Monahan Plumbing.
Dick was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Frostburg. He enjoyed bowling and a member of the Free Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corps.
Surviving are sons, Teddy Stott and wife Cindy and Ricky Stott: grandchildren, Miranda Barber and husband Scott and Ryan Stott; great-grandchildren, Ellie Barber and Nora Barber; and niece Carol Carr and husband Ron.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, from 12-2 pm with a funeral service held at 2 pm with Pastor Rick Schoenly and Rev. Karen Crosby officiating.
Interment will follow in Frostburg Memorial Park.
