Richard Lee "Rick" Kasecamp, 77, of Frostburg, passed away on April 4, 2025.
Born October 24, 1947, to the late John Samuel Kasecamp (Sam) and Edna Pearl (Spiker) Hutcheson.
Rick was a graduate of Beall High School in 1965 and retired from CSX Transportation as a locomotive engineer in 2009, with 32 years of service. He served for 6 years in the 167th Military Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard as an E5 Aircraft Fuel System Technician and 3 years in the 121 Engineer Battalion of the Maryland Army National Guard as a heavy equipment operator.
He was a private pilot and member of Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association, Experimental Aircraft Association, Alleghany Flying Club and EAA Chapter 426 where he served as the secretary and Young Eagles Coordinator that introduced people between the age of 8 to 17 to an aviation experience.
Also, a member of the NRA, NAGR, USCCA, Lifetime Member of the Midland Sportsman Club, Cumberland Outdoor Club, Cumberland Democrat Club, Cumberland American Legion Post 13, Cresaptown Eagles 2883, Haystack Sportsman Club & Lifetime member of ABATE of Western Maryland.
He was a supporter of The Commemorative Air Force, Collings Foundation, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled Veterans NE, The Heritage Foundation, Vietnam Veterans of America, and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and donated to Tunnel to Towers.
His passion was anything associated with motorcycles and aviation. He also enjoyed the great outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, target shooting, float trips, hiking, and travel.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Colleen (Kenney) Kasecamp; Son, Richard (Denny) Kasecamp of Frostburg; Daughter, Christina (Christy) Knight and husband Danny of Cumberland; Son, Tony DelSignore and wife Heather of Charles Town; Son, Erick and wife Hope of Lonaconing; Son, Kade and wife Crimson of Frostburg. His pride and joy were all his Grand-Children.
Also surviving are his sister, Dotty and husband Bill Minnick of Mercersburg; Sister, Rosie and husband Wally Berry of Carlos; Brother, Lawrence and wife Terri of Frostburg; Sister, Nora Hitchens of Carlos; Sister, Cindy Lashbaugh of Frostburg; Brother, John Hutcheson of Michigan; Brother, George Hutcheson of Frostburg; Sister, Debbie and husband Scott Brown of Bellville, Michigan.
Rick was cremated in accordance with his wishes and no services are to be held.
