Rev. Estella (Jacobs) Hare
88, formally of Frostburg, passed away on December 27, 2015 at Oakland Nursing Home.
Born on November 13, 1927 in Lonaconing to William Alvie Jacobs and Bertha (Green) Jacobs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Edgar A. Hare; step-son, Birch A. Hare; step granddaughter, Debby Kay Hare; two sisters and three brothers.
Rev. Hare was a graduate of Lonaconing High School, Green Lane Institute in 1959 and retired as an Ordained Minister with the Assembly of God Potomac District. She loved gardening, bible studies at the Senior Center and loved to paint on slates.
Surviving are her two stepsons, Burton D. Hare and wife Sue, Elkins, WV and Keith E. Hare and wife Liz, Elkins, WV; step daughter-in-law, Shirley M. Hare; several step grandchildren; great step grandchildren; one brother, Norman Jacobs, Frostburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Culler officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
