Ralph Edward Lancaster, 69, of Frostburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born on March 23, 1952, in Zihlman, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Mary M. (Downton) Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Gomer, sister, Dolly Sellers and infant brother, Earl Lancaster.
Ralph was an Army veteran with 13 years of service and dedicated his life to his family. Ralph brought joy to others and could always be the one to make others smile and laugh with a joke or story he had to tell.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Janet “Kathy”; daughter, Sherry Bodes, son, Charles Lancaster; four grandchildren: Gage, Josh, Chaz and Jace; brother, Larry Lancaster and wife Karen; all from Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Ralph will be cremated and inurned with military honors on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, 14205 Pleasant Valley Rd NE, Flintstone, MD with Rev. George M. Harpold officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Durst Funeral Home on behalf of the family.
