Phyllis Ann Wallace, 84, of Tracy’s Landing, MD, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the Brightview South River Senior Living Center, Edgewater, MD.
Born on August 3, 1931, in Mt. Savage, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Anna (Bishields) Folk. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter E. Wallace, in 2015.
Phyllis was a retired educator and was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.
Surviving is her daughter, Michalene McDonald and husband Hugh; grandchildren, Hugh Andrew McDonald Jr. and wife Chelsea Ann, John Houston McDonald and Dillon Edward McDonald; brother, William Folk; sister-in-law, Lynda Folk; and beloved dog, Jo Bear.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Thursday July 28, 2016 from 10 am to 12 noon. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon following the visitation with Rev. Karen Crosby officiating.
Interment will be held in St. George’s Episcopal Cemetery.
