Phyllis J. Morgan
88, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born September 3, 1928, in Zihlman to Daniel and Lillian (Blank-Pollock) Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel R. Morgan Jr.; siblings; George Miller, Harold Miller, Michael (Mike) Miller, Bill Miller, Jack Miller, Helen Pollock, Louise Pollock, Mary Pollock, Kenny Pollock. Phyllis was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Phyllis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cumberland and a graduate of Beall High School. She loved decorating her house, working in her yard and enjoyed ceramics.
Surviving are her son, Samuel R. Morgan III and wife, Brenda, who was a special daughter-in-law; one grandson, Garrett Orr.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Funeral service will be at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Caroline Kelly officiating.
