Paul Brode

Paul Douglas Brode, 86, of Frederick, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at his home.

Born December 17, 1938 to William Jennings Brode and Edith Ruth (Yieder) Brode. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Lillie Yeider, a brother, Ronald Brode; brother in law, Donald Festerman and his beloved dogs, Teddy and Teah.

Paul was retired from State Highway Administration as an auditor and a veteran of the Army Reserves at Fort Meade. He attended Eckhart Elementary, a graduate of 1956 Beall High School and attended FSU. He enjoyed antique cars, his 1960 Chevy Impala is in mint condition and a 1985 Buick Park Avenue. Paul was a fan of nascar, enjoyed watching football especially the Redskins and the Ravens.

Surviving are his wife of 60 Years, Norma (Festerman) Brode, a sister, Linda Baker, bothers in law, John Festerman and Allen Festerman, sister in law, Colleen Lashbaugh and several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Tesa.

Family and friends will be received Friday, April 25, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 with Fr. Scott Kady as celebrant.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
