Patricia Ann Schultz, born on March 27, 1938, in Eckhart Mines, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She spent the majority of her life in Frostburg, MD, where she was cherished by many.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Schultz, with whom she shared many wonderful years traveling across the country in their motor home or riding on their motorcycle. They also spent many winters in Florida as snowbirds. She was also predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mildred McGowan, her sisters Mary Whitaker and Karen Siebert, and her brother Joseph McGowan Jr.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Lisa Duvall (Mike), Kelly Borsuk (Scott), and Tracy Cullen (John), as well as her stepchildren, Lynn Schultz (Kate), Eva Beagle (Mark), Don Schultz (Sharon), and Cathy Schultz. Patricia was a proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nanny.” She is also survived by her sister Janice Young (Joe) and her faithful companion, her dog, Millie.
Patricia graduated from Beall High School in Frostburg, MD, in 1956 and worked for many years at Curtis Friedenberg Orthodontics in Cumberland, MD. She was known for her generosity, often ensuring her grandchildren left her home with a gift or some money. Patricia loved hosting family gatherings for Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July, and she found great joy in playing cards with family and caretakers, visiting casinos, and attending bingo at Shaft Fire Hall.
Her caretakers, Nancy Riggleman, Kelly Perry, Laura Spitznas, Becky Nicol, Hannah Sarver, and Kit Mabee, provided her with exceptional care and support. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to UPMC Hospice care for their compassionate assistance in Patricia’s final days.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Durst Funeral Home in Frostburg, MD, from 2-4PM. Patricia’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
