Patricia Adelaide Miller, 80, of Vale Summit, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born on August 6, 1944, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of Dr. John & Marie Coffey. She is preceded in death by her parents & her sisters Judy Seawood & Nancy Hawkes & husband of 55 years, Duane.
Surviving are children Susan & husband, Kevin; Marty & wife Yu Ting Tseng; cherished granddaughter, Ava Marie; special sisters-in-law, Patricia Woods & Shirley Cassidy; numerous beloved nieces & nephews; special neighbors Johnny & Stacey/John & Diane Blubaugh; lifelong friends Julie McKenzie, Rosalind Bauer, Dottie Yautz, & John & Mary Jane Shepley.
Patty was working in Arlington, VA, when she met Duane & he whisked her off to the mountains of Garrett County, where she began her love of country living & became a wife & mother. In 1979, they relocated to their lifelong home in Frostburg, where Patty would later become known to the neighborhood kids as "June Cleaver" for her country cooking & baked goods, her "world famous" Italian meatballs, bandaging up bruised knees from bicycle wrecks, wiping away tears, & treating bee stings. She loved all animals, & was a contributor to many charities, a long-time member of Divine Mercy Parish & a cancer survivor.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff & services of UPMC Western MD, Comfort Keepers, Sterling Care of Frostburg, & for the exceptional long-term care & love from the entire staff of Egle Nursing & Rehab.
Mass of Catholic burial will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11am at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Michael Church, Frostburg, with Fr. Ed Hendricks serving as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Owen Reese, Aaryn Reese, Trevor Green, Zachary Green, Bill Jackson & Johnny Blubaugh.
There will be no visitation, per her wishes, & interment will be at Eglon Community Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity close to your heart, as she loved to do.
She adored her family & friends & was forever grateful for the love & kindness she received over the years.
