Mary Preston
April 7, 1970 — June 28, 2016
Mary Beth Preston, 46, of Corriganville, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at her residence.
Born on April 7, 1970, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Wanda Lee (Hitchins) Hawkins.
Mary Beth was the Health Services Manager for HRDC Head Start Program and also worked as an LPN at Frostburg Nursing and Rehab.
She was a member of the Beall High School class of 1988 and the Mineral County School of Practical Nursing. She volunteered and served on the board of The American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She supported many of the local cash bashes and enjoyed bingo and visiting Rocky Gap Casino.
Surviving are; husband, Michael Preston; sons, Michael Preston, Frostburg, and John Preston and wife Ashley, Ridgeley, WV; grandchildren, Sawyer Preston and Addison Brant; brother, Mark Hawkins, Frostburg; nephew, Mark W. Hawkins; two close friends, Tracy VanVlack and Missy Wilson.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, Md, on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at 11 am with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Frostburg Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations in Mary Beth’s name, be made to Relay for Life Cancer Society, 1050 Industrial Blvd. Suite 3, Cumberland, MD 21502.
