Mary Antonietta Peretti, 93, of Frostburg, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 surrounded by family.
Born December 13, 1928, at Miners Hospital in Frostburg, she was the daughter to the late Enrico and Antonietta (Ruffo) Peretti. Preceded in death by her brothers, Augustine Joseph, Joseph Enrico, and Francis Philip; sisters-in-law, Erma Jean, Mary, and Dee; grandnephew, Christopher. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mary was a life-long resident of Frostburg and a life-long member of Divine Mercy Parish St. Michael Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Michael School, Ursuline Academy Class of 1946, and Allegany Community College. Mary worked for Thermo Gauge Company in Frostburg; Heavner Real Estate Cumberland and West Virginia; The Railroad Station, Washington, DC; retired from Hercules/ABL, Rocket Center, WV, after 40 years of service.

Her love and devotion to family and friends was unsurpassed. Mary enjoyed sports, especially watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates on the television and attending some games. In June of 1964, she was the first woman at the Fort Cumberland Golf Course to “ace” a hole-in-one. She became the third member of her family to accomplish the feat during their golfing careers.
