Mary Beulah (Finzel) Brode, 82, of Midlothian, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 14, 1934, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late James and Beulah (Hendershot) Finzel.In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William E. Brode, Sr.
Mary was a member of Trinity Assembly of God, a greeter and Sunday school teacher. She was a 1952 Beall High School graduate. Mary worked at GC Murphy and Frostburg State University for 30 years working in the Book Store and as an Accountant. She was well traveled visiting all 50 states and foreign countries. Mary loved gardening, cats and frogs; she was a true Washington Redskins fan.
Surviving are children, Joy Brode, William E. Brode, Jr. and fiancé, Christina, Larry Brode and Mark Brode; grandchildren, Brandon Brode, Chad Brode and wife Brittany, Larry Brode, Jr. and fiance Christy Bolyard and Vanessa Brode and fiance Evan Phelps; great grandchildren, Sydnye Brode, Analee Brode, Dakota Brode, Jace Brode and Rylan Fletcher.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 3 to 7 pm.
Funeral service will be held at Trinity Assembly of God, Midlothian, on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Rob Culler officiating. There will be one hour viewing prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
