Mary JoAnn Arnold

Mary JoAnn Arnold, 87, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Mountain City Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born on May 26, 1935, to the late Alice (DeVault) and Albert Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Chester “Zack” Arnold and siblings, Harriet Payne, Virginia Warn and Robert Jenkins.

Mary was a homemaker and worked at the Hen House with her family. She enjoyed collecting nick knacks, pictures and decorating for every holiday.

Surviving are her children, Barry Arnold and Lisa Kessler and husband Joe; grandchildren, Stephanie MacDonald and wife Katlynn, Hannah Kessler and Blake Arnold; great-grandchildren, Destinee Heinrich, Alexander Haines; numerous nieces and nephews as well as her lifelong friend, Mary Agnes “Aggie” Burner.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM with Jim Jeffries officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to service.
