Marian Ritchie

Marian Elsie Ritchie, 89, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Sterling Care Frostburg Village.

Born on July 4, 1931, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Elsie (Perdue) Yates.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Ralph G. Ritchie; granddaughter, Carlie Jo Ritchie; and two brothers, Chester and David Yates.  Marian was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a member of the Vale Summit United Methodist Church and the Women’s Society. Marian retired from McFarland Candies.

Surviving are three sons, Ralph D. “Denny” Ritchie and wife Karen Lynn, Frostburg, Wayne Douglas Ritchie and wife Connie, Frostburg, and Dean Allan Ritchie and wife Theresa, Cumberland; grandchildren, Denise Murphy, Jennifer Price, Jody Ritchie, Marty Ritchie and Scott Ritchie; and  great-grandchildren, Holden Ritchie, Meghan Murphy, Brianna Murphy and Destiny Ritchie, Sophia and Luke Ritchie, Leah and Zoey Ritchie and Ella Nizer.

Funeral services will be private.

Interment will be in Vale Summit Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vale Summit United Methodist Church.
