Linda Diane (Lancaster) Gomer, 69, of Frostburg, went to the arms of her husband on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with heart disease.
Born on September 27, 1947, in Zihlman, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Mary M. (Downton) Lancaster. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Curtis E. Gomer Sr, sister, Dolly Sellers and infant brother, Earl Lancaster.
Linda was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her husband and two children and enjoyed spending all her extra time with her four grandchildren whom she loved more than her own life. Linda was an incredible cook and seamstress and would help anyone in any way she could.
Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Gomer; son, Curtis Gomer Jr. and wife Tanya; four grandchildren, Madison, Kaden, Angela and C.J.; two brothers, Larry Lancaster and wife Karen, Ralph Lancaster and wife Cathy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park with Rev. George Harpold officiating.
The family would like to thank the Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center for the extraordinary care they provided during her rehabilitation as well as the excellent critical care provided by the Intensive Care Unit at WMHS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
