Lilly Catherine (Drees) Fike passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Sterling Care at Frostburg Village. She was born October 29, 1921.
Lilly was preceded in death by her husband Ray Fike; parents, George and Dessa (Minnick) Drees; sisters, Evelyn, Irene and Evelena; and brother Ervin.
Lilly was a devoted housewife and mother throughout her life. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pocahontas, PA, and Divine Mercy Parish St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Frostburg.
Surviving are four sons, Gary (Judy), Topeka, KS, Kenneth (Lynn), Frostburg, James (Debbie) Raeford, NC, and Dale (Donna), Finzel; 7 grandchildren, Dawn McDonald, Aaron Fike, Gregory Fike, Brian Fike, Carey Williams, Amy Scarborough and Christopher Fike; 7 great-grandchildren, Zachary Fike, Nehemiah and Zenora Scarborough, Emmett and Archer Williams and Evelena and Catherine Fike.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Sunday, July 12, 2020, from 4-6 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Parish St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Monday, July 13, 2020, at 11 am with Father Ed Hendricks serving as officiant. Attendees are reminded that masks and social distancing are required inside the church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sterling Care for the loving care they gave Lilly over the years.
