Lillian C. Winkler, 102, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020, at the Assisted Living unit of Sterling Care.
Born on April 8, 1917, in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Ruby (Holland) Clark, Sr.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Winkler; and brothers Albert Clark, Jr and wife Eunice, Arthur H. Clark and Richard C. Clark.
Mrs. Winkler was a life-long member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Frostburg where she was a member of the Women of St. Johns and was the director of the altar guild for 35 years. She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse having worked in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, California and Maryland. She was a charter member of the Frostburg Area Ambulance Service and the Frostburg Garden Club.
Surviving are her nephew Arthur Clark and wife Patti, Rumford, RI.
In accordance with her wishes, Lillian donated her body to the Maryland Anatomical Board.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 52 S. Broadway, Frostburg, MD, on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 1 pm with Rev. Karen Crosby officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lillian’s name may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church.
