LeRoy F. Witt, Sr.
82, of Frostburg, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at his residence.
Born on May 21, 1932 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Mildred E. (Long) Witt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie L. (Witt) Spataro and a sister, Thelma Long.
Mr. Witt retired from Celanese Corporation as an electrician and from the State of Maryland as a Construction Inspector. He enjoyed old movies and doing crossword puzzles.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Doris M. (Richards) Witt, of Frostburg; six children, LeRoy F. Witt Jr. and wife Georgia, Cumberland, Karen S. Watkins and husband Stan, Cumberland, Derrick W. Witt and wife Carmen, Mt. Savage, Douglas A. Witt and wife Sara, Salinas, CA, LuAnn M. Whetstone and husband Mike, Midlothian, Melissa J. Crowe and fiancée Blaine, Frostburg; son-in-law, Steve Spataro, Mt. Savage; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
LeRoy will be cremated in accordance with his wishes.
