Leroy "Butch" LaRue

On December 27, 2022, Leroy Martin LaRue "Butch" went to be with the lord and the love of his life, Catherine Darlene LaRue. Butch was born on June 14th 1941 in Midland, MD to the late Stanley Martin LaRue and Edna E. (Davis) LaRue. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Malcolm and Betty Allen.

Surviving are his son, Troy Marin LaRue and wife Gloria of Mebane, NC; daughter, Tara Michele LaRue and partner Timmy Shelton of Frostburg, MD; son-in-law, Buddy Craze of Frostburg, MD; grandchildren, Channing Ashton Craze and fiancé Natalie of Los Angeles, CA, Chai LaRue Shockey and husband Brandon of Mount Savage, MD, Chatia Raine Craze of Frostburg, MD, Chantel Marie Craze and Fiancé Nick of Frostburg, MD, Shane Martin LaRue of Mebane, NC; great-grandchildren, Lauren Ramirez of Los Angeles and Baby Shockey (little bean) of Mount Savage, MD; sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Brady Andrews of LaVale, MD; nephew, Brogan Andrews of Fayetteville, PA , and numerous cousin.

Butch was a member of Eckhart Methodist Church. He was in the National Guards, and retired from the department of juvenile services where he met several lifelong friends. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. There was never a dull moment being in his presence. The highlight of his life was spending time with his grandchildren from the time they were born til adulthood. No one will ever compare to this man, he was everything to everyone and loved anyone with a sense of humor. He will truly be missed by all who adored him.

We will miss you dad, pappy and will see you again soon, love your family forever.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 29th, 2022 from 3PM-6PM at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30th 2022 at 10AM with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating.

Burial will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
