Sgt. Lenny Scott Youngblood, 30, of Oldtown, formerly of Frostburg, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016.
Born on March 29, 1986, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of Karen (Bond) Youngblood of Frostburg and Harry Youngblood and wife Cindy of Winston Salem, NC.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Arthur and Marian Bond and paternal grandparents Harry and Anastasia Youngblood.
Lenny graduated from Beall High School in 2004 where he was a member of the Boys’ soccer team for four years. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2005 where he proudly served his country in Iraq and Afghanistan. Prior to retirement in 2011 Lenny was a member of the Wounded Warriors. He volunteered with the Platoon 22 Support Group, the Organarchy Farm and for flag raising ceremonies at different military functions. Lenny was known for his smile and sense of humor, which was contagious.
Lenny was a loving father and leaves behind the light of his world, his daughter, Ayanna Jessie Youngblood and her mother, Larissa Seifarth. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, his extended family who loved him very much, and last, but not least, his Marine brothers....Semper Fi. Lenny was blessed with many friends and comrades throughout his life.
