Kathy Jean Metz

Kathy Jean (O'Brien) Metz, 61, of Lonaconing, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2024, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born on September 17, 1962, to the late, Nancy and Harold Rosenberger and the late, Earl Clayton O'Brien. 

Kathy was a 1980 graduate of Valley High School, a member of the Frostburg Eagles Aerie 1273 and an avid Steelers fan. She was a beloved wife, mother, mimi and sister.

Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Will Metz; her sons, Timothy and Andrew Metz; grandchildren, Gracelinn, Avery, Baisley; brothers, Harold Rosenberger and wife Beth, Keith Rosenberger and wife Stephanie; brother in law, Terry and wife Cathy; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. 

A funeral mass will be held at Divine Mercy, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 19925 Church Street, Midland, MD, on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11 am with Rev. Eric Gauchat, OFM Cap. as celebrant.

Internment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Lonaconing, MD. Pallbearers are Tim, Nathan, Kyle, Andy, Daniel and Keith
