Josephine “Teen” Buskirk Booth
78, of Eckhart, went home to be with the Lord and Savior, July 17, 2018 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born March 3, 1940 in Lonaconing, she was the eldest daughter of the late John Buskirk and Birdie (Snyder) Buskirk; she is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years, Wilson E .Booth, Sr., and brother, Charles L. Buskirk.
Teen married the love of her life, the late Wilson Booth, Sr. and became a homemaker. She was a graduate of Valley High School and a member of Eckhart Methodist Church.
Surviving are children, Terrie L. Finzel, of Frostburg, Wilson E. Booth Jr. of Eckhart, Lois Lewis and husband Bob of Hagerstown, Bryan Booth and wife Melissa of LaVale, and David Booth and fiancé Tracy, of Eckhart; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Loar and husband David, Carol McKenzie and husband Arthur, and Wilda McKenzie all of Lonaconing; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. George Harpold officiating. Following the service a “Celebration of Life” will be held at the Eckhart Methodist Church for all friends and family.
Teen will be cremated following her service, in accordance with her wishes and buried at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery alongside her loving husband.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at both Egle Nursing Home and Western Maryland Health System for the wonderful care and compassion that was given to Teen in her final days.
