Joseph E. Crawford, Sr, 83, of Frostburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Born on September 9, 1932, in Lonaconing, Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Myrtle (Shriver) Crawford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Elizabeth (Ash) Crawford in 1997; sisters, Linda Sue Crawford and Carol Ann Blubaugh; brother, Richard Crawford.
Joseph was self-employed as a timber cutter. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Korean War and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and was a member of Farrady Post #24 American Legion.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph Crawford, Jr and wife Beverley of Shaft and David Crawford of Shaft; daughters, Terry Herman and husband Mark, Ypsilanti,MI and Peggy Winebrenner and husband Randy, Frostburg; grandchildren, Mark Herman and wife Jodi, Mike Herman and wife Sarah, Heather Hutcheson, Fallon Folk and husband Dax, Casey Crawford-Kuhn and husband Steven, Joey Crawford and David “Teddy” Crawford and Randy Winebrenner, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Steven Hutcheson, Jr, Michael Folk, Isiah Folk, Camden Herman, Jacob Herman and Steven “Little Boy” Kuhn.
In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated.
A private graveside service will be held by the family.
