Joline Hess Nelson
82, of Frostburg, died Friday, November 22, 2013 at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born December 11, 1930 in Frostburg to Joseph Hess and Thelma (Stevens) Hess; she is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert E. “Ozzie” Nelson Sr.
Joline retired from Potomac Edison as a Home Service Representative having graduated from Beall High School Class of 1948 and Catherman’s Business School. She was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church, a charter member of Maplehurst Country Club, Ladies of the Elks 470, Farrady Unit 24 Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose 348, and Charter Member of Frostburg Area Ambulance.
Surviving are two sons, Robert E. Nelson Jr. and wife Margie, Frostburg, Jeffrey S. Nelson and wife Karen, Pasadena, MD; four grandchildren, Katie Lynn (Nelson) Heffington and husband James, Camden, DE, Todd Jeffrey Nelson, Buchannon, WV, Tanner William Nelson, Rockville, MD and Shane Michael Frank, Pasadena, MD; two great grandchildren, Logan and Tyler Heffington; one brother, Ronald “Cutty” Hess, Frostburg and a sister, Elaine Moran, Frostburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to Frostburg United Methodist Church or Frostburg Area Ambulance Service.
The family is thankful to the staff of Frostburg Village Assisted Living and Dr. Cynthia Fields for the care and love shown to their mother during her stay there.
