94, of Frostburg, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at home. He was born February 16, 1920 in Nikep, MD, to the late Gilbert J. and Mary C. (Weimer) Colmer.
John was a graduate of Central High School class of 1937. He was an Army veteran serving in World War II and continued by serving in the Air Force until he retired in 1964. John was an electrician for Celanese, ABL, and Sacred Heart Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward Colmer; sister, Agatha Warnick; and daughter, Anita Morgan.
Surviving are his wife Rosemary (Nolan) Colmer; his children, John D. Colmer, Catonsville, Deanna Barker and husband Steve, Chambersburg, Theresa Hershberger and husband Frank, Ridgeley, WV, Gilbert (Ed) Colmer and wife Pam, Frostburg, David Colmer and wife Maria, Altoona. He had eighteen grandchildren, Brian, Valerie, Erica, Shane, Elliot, Jason, Aaron, Troy, Gabriela, Johanna, Alexa, Justin, Adam, Garrett, Sabrina, Jared, Ryan, and Lauren and numerous great grandchildren.
