Jean Plummer

Jean L. Plummer of Frostburg, MD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Egle Nursing Home.  She was 90 years old.

Jean was an avid bridge player and enjoyed investing, reading, and traveling.  She was a 1949 graduate of Beall High School and retired from the Administration & Finance office of Frostburg State University.

Born on July 24, 1931, in Cumberland, MD, Jean was the daughter of James and Edith Loar.  Preceding her in death was her husband of 42 years, William “Mokey” Plummer.  Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Schrier-Behler of Alexandria, VA and Joyce Arnone of Vienna, VA; sons-in-law, Gene Behler and Regis Arnone; and grandchildren, Blake Snider and Lauren Snider of Vienna, VA.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Egle Nursing Home for their excellent and compassionate care.

Remembrance gifts may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Frostburg, MD.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 3 pm to 4 pm. A funeral service will follow at 4 pm.
