Jacquelyn Ann (Carder) Jones

81, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born on August 8, 1936, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. Carder, Sr. and Llewella (Sperry) Carder.

Mrs. Jones was a retired school teacher, having taught in Prince Georges and Allegany County School systems.  She was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Farrady Post 24.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Robert T. Jones; daughter, Kimberly Ann Adams of Pasadena, MD; son Michael R. Jones and wife Whitney of Severna Park, MD; grandchildren, Bryce, Nicholas and Bryanne Adams, Aubree and Sophie Jones; brother, Edward F. Carder, Jr, of Lonaconing; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11 am with Rev. Diane Smith officiating.

Interment will be in Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery at Rocky Gap.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions, in Jacquelyn’s name, be made to Salem United Church of Christ, 78 S. Broadway, Frostburg, MD.

The family offers a special thank you to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center and especially the ICU unit and the staff of 7 North.
