Jacob Willis Carr II, 54, of Corriganville and Hanover passed away suddenly Friday, May 10, 2019.
Born January 26, 1965 in Wurtzburg, Germany, he was the youngest son of Richard and Eleanor Carr. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncle, Harry Carr and special cousin, Tommy Carr.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Eleanor Carr, Corriganville; wife, Sandy Carr, his daughters, Hannah Carr, Frostburg, Ashley Gordon and husband Justin, Cresaptown; a brother, Richard Carr and wife Donna, Lancaster, PA; sisters Kathy Carr and Tina Carr-Walker; step-daughter, Becka Vactor and husband Alex, and step-son, Tyler Chavers and wife Desiree. Also surviving are his grandchildren, who were the light of his life, Noah, Jacob, KJ, Ashlynn, August and Violet and numerous other family members.
A 1983 graduate from Meade Senior High School, Jay grew up in Maryland City. There was not a sport he couldn’t play, as he was very talented. Jay was a carpenter by trade and a Union representative for D.C. area. Later he worked as a pre-home inspector. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and camping.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on, Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10 am.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
