Idella Diggs

Idella May Diggs, 92, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Sterling Care Frostburg Village.

Born on April 14, 1927, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Gertrude (Jackson) Harper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Vincent A. Diggs; sister, Lola Right; brother, Kenneth J. Harper; and daughter-in-law, Jody Diggs.

Idella was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and loved playing bingo. Above all was the love for her family; her face lit up with smiles when she was with them.

Surviving are children, Daniel Vincent Diggs and wife Margaret, Steven Andrew Diggs and wife Lisa, Bonnie Ann Miller and husband James, Wanda Lee Smith and husband Rodney, Timothy Michael Diggs and significant other Leslie Nightingale, and Mark Anthony Diggs and wife Marlene; grandchildren Michael Diggs, Steven Diggs Jr., Samuel Diggs, Karrie Miller, Heather Smith, Troy Smith, Tara McKinley, Sondra Wine and Alison Diggs; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 4-6 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 11 am with Rev. George Harpold officiating.

Pallbearers are son's Daniel Diggs, Steven Diggs, Timothy Diggs, Mark Diggs and grandson's Michael Diggs and Samuel Diggs.

Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
